Opportunities will also be advertised through Tenderlink as appropriate, with the group currently exploring procurement options for tyre collection/recycling and concrete crushing.

Formal receipt and opening of tender submissions – Scrap Metal

Orange City Council, on behalf of NetWaste, is seeking tenders from appropriately skilled and experienced contractors for the collection and recycling of Scrap Metal.

NetWaste is a collaborative regional waste group formed for the purpose of managing waste issues throughout the Central & Western regions of New South Wales.

NetWaste is coordinating the regional tender and contract negotiation process on behalf of the participating Councils, with Orange City Council acting as the coordinating Council and NetWaste’s Representative.

General services required will consist of:

  • Regional collection and recycling of scrap metal in the NetWaste region
  • Collect scrap metal listed from multiple listed sites around the Central West
  • Supply plant and equipment to collect scrap metal
  • Transport scrap material to appropriate processing centre
  • Service will be provided at a paid rate (income) for participating Councils
  • Provide collection data on material collected

The NetWaste region covers a total area of over 320,000 square kilometres and supports a population of over 280,000 people.
