Getting Rid of It

There are many different types of waste produced from our households and garages. We know what to do with the common items like paper, glass bottles and jars, general rubbish – but what about the other waste we know not to put in our garbage bins, but then what should we do with it?

Some programs are run regionally through NetWaste where you can get rid of your household chemicals and paint or used motor oil, and others are state or federal programs like MobileMuster for old mobile phones.

Click on the pages below to find out what to do with your unwanted items through organised programs. Remember to contact your local Council to find out which services they offer locally such as second hand shops at the landfills or e-waste collection.
